Breathe Deep South
Jersey is a 3.8-mile untimed walk and fun run to raise money for critical lung
cancer research, education, and support. The course is located at Cooper River Park, in Jack Curtis
Stadium, and is stroller, bike, wheelchair and pet friendly (please clean up
after your pets)! We will have a fitness instructor lead warm-up for the
walk, face painter, DJ, photographer for team photos and an honor wall to sign
in honor of those you walk for! The program will include a lung cancer survivor
and Dr. Morris Eisen from Kennedy Health System!
This year Jackie Harper takes the reins as lead volunteer coordinator for Breathe Deep South Jersey. Jackie's loved ones have been affected by the disease, and after participating in the event for a couple of years, she decided she needed to do more in the fight against lung cancer. Jackie's goal is to raise awareness that lung cancer has no boundaries, regardless of smoking history, age, gender, or ethnicity. Please join her and her committee in the support of Breathe Deep South Jersey as they strive to create a community for those who have been affected by lung cancer to come together to raise funds for research, education, and support.
We will have an honor wall for participants to put pictures
of those they walk for. Please be sure to bring pictures with you on event day
or e-mail them to email@example.com
and we will print them off for you.
Honor markers, each with a customized tribute message, will be
placed along the event course to guide walkers and runners. To order your
tribute message, download a form here.
