How Do I Join?
Lottery registration is now closed but that doesn't mean you can't be part of the team! If you are one of the lucky ones who received a spot through the lottery or other guaranteed entry but would like to make your marathon count for more, email Heather at firstname.lastname@example.org today to learn more about becoming part of Team LUNGevity!
Why Team LUNGevity?
Team LUNGevity is a group of individuals who are not only motivated to complete endurance events, but motivated to end lung cancer. Funds raised by our inspiring team are crucial in funding critical lung cancer research, education, and support.
Team LUNGevity members running the Chicago Marathon enjoy:
FREE CARA training (a $210 value)
Personal fundraising page
One-on-one fundraising support
Pre-race team dinner
By becoming a member of Team LUNGevity, you commit to donate or raise funds of at least $1,000 if using a guaranteed spot (or $500 if you already have secured a spot) for LUNGevity, a designated Charity Partner of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2014. Your credit card information is required as a guarantee against this pledge.
The fundraising minimum must be met by October 20, 2014. If your donations do not total the full minimum pledge, your credit card will be charged on October 20, 2014 for the amount necessary to fulfill that pledge. (Any amount charged to your credit card will be considered a charitable donation, and we will send you confirmation of this donation for tax purposes).
If you are unable to participate in the marathon due to illness, injury, or conflict, you are obligated to raise at least half of the required $500/$1,000 as set forth in this agreement. Please note that donations will not be refundable if the fundraiser does not participate in the marathon.
