Event Details

Lung Hill Run is a 5K timed run and untimed walk to raise money for critical lung cancer research. An optional .5-mile course will also be available. The course is friendly to strollers, wheelchairs, and pets (as long as they are cleaned up after).

Event History

The Lung Hill Run was started in 2009 by friends Rebekah Tobin and Annabelle Buckner after Annabelle was diagnosed with lung cancer at age 32. Annabelle, a never-smoker, and Rebekah, along with their friends and family, hope to raise awareness and help overcome the stigma they feel is associated with lung cancer. They have partnered with LUNGevity to donate all funds raised toward research and support for lung cancer patients and their families.

Plant honor marker

Honor markers, each with a customized tribute message, will be placed along the event course to guide walkers and runners. To order your tribute message, download a form here. Forms must be in our Chicago office no later than Friday, October 4, 2013.
