Event Details 

Breathe Deep South Jersey is a 3.8-mile untimed walk and fun run to raise money for critical lung cancer research. The course is located at Cooper River Park in Jack Curtis Stadium and is stroller, bike, wheelchair and pet friendly (please clean up after your pets)! We will have entertainment by DJ Fred as well as face painting and balloons at the kids corner!

Awards will be given out to the Top Fundraising Team as well as the Top Individual Fundraiser.

Story from our Coordinator

On December 28, 2010 at the age of 24, I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Since my recovery, I have made a point to spread awareness across my community. For two years, I coordinated a formal dinner within my hometown, and I've been a part of numerous mini-fundraisers. Now I am taking on the ultimate challenge - coordinating the longest running lung cancer walk in Southern New Jersey. My goal is not only to raise critical funding for early detection research, but provide a support community for lung cancer survivors, caregivers, friends, and family members of those impacted by lung cancer.
