Old Guy Walk 2012

I'm an old guy - in my fifties to be exact. But I'm an old guy with a goal in mind -- to walk across the state of Wisconsin in an effort to raise money to fight lung cancer.

How Can You Help?

If fighting lung cancer is important to you, then donate some money, follow my blog, or see me on the road. If LUNGevity Foundation is a place that you feel needs support, donate some dollars and follow the adventure. Or, if you think exercise is important, donate some dollars and come on along.

About Rick

I'm an old guy who started to exercise on a daily basis in March of 2010 so I could participate in a sprint triathalon. Although I didn't win, I completed the event and felt a real sense of accomplishment. When my mom died in February of 2011, six weeks after being diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, I felt helpless. She died very quickly from a form of lung cancer I had never really heard of, and a form of cancer that is hard to detect until it's too late. I decided I wanted to do something to try to make a difference. The Old Guy Walk came to life!
