Danny's story

This fund was created in loving memory of Dan 'Club' Harbour, who was an avid disc golfer and one of the far too many people who die too young each year from lung cancer that we don't yet know how to find early or cure. Just 15 months after a 'clean' chest X-ray, at age 49, Danny was diagnosed with advanced non-small-cell carcinoma. The chemo, radiation, and clinical trials stopped it cold in his lungs, but couldn't control it in his bones; we found it too late :(

In his memory

Our mission is to raise funds for Lungevity to help researchers find a good early diagnostic test, and discover a cure - so that someday soon, no one else will have to endure losing a beloved spouse, sibling, child, aunt/uncle, or dear friend - or [grand]parent - to lung cancer.

How you can help

We urgently need to raise two things: awareness that lung cancer needs attention, and funds to give it the research attention it needs. (Not only is lung cancer woefully underfunded, too few people know that lung cancer kills far more women AND men than any other type of cancer.)
