Adrienne joined the LUNGevity Foundation as their Accounting Manager in August 2012. She comes to our foundation with over 20 years of accounting experience, of which, over 10 years are in the non-profit sector. In her previous finance position with a small, local non-profit, she had become accustomed to wearing “many hats”, such as; office manager, special events’ manager, administrator and even fundraiser.
Her passion for working for charitable organizations stems from the death of her father (and best friend) when she was only 13 years of age. He had an undetected medical condition and passed away suddenly at the age of 48. She hopes that by assisting medically focused charities streamline their budgets, in some small part, will enable them to allocate more funds for research and find a cure for their cause – and hopes that someday, another child will not have to lose the one they love.
A life-long resident of the Chicago area, in her spare time, she strives to beautify neighborhoods by restoring old, run-down Victorian homes. Occasionally, she tries to squeeze in a game of golf or catch dinner and a movie with her loving husband, Brad, of almost 20 years.
