Hope Summit

LUNGevity HOPE Summits are unique two-day survivorship conferences that educate, empower, and create a community of support for lung cancer survivors. At HOPE Summits, LUNGevity serves as a bridge between patients, their families, and the medical and support communities.

LUNGevity HOPE Summits are specifically for lung cancer survivors, defined as anyone who has ever been diagnosed with lung cancer of any stage, in or out of active treatment. If there are physical limitations, caregivers are welcome to register to attend with their loved one.

What's it for?

At HOPE Summits participants learn, collaborate, advocate, and use their voices and stories to make a difference in the fight against lung cancer. The summits feature inspirational speakers, medical expert forums, advocacy forums, lung cancer survivor-specific sessions, and opportunities for lung cancer survivors to connect with other survivors and share their stories with the public and the media. There are sessions for survivors in active treatment and others for those out of treatment to address their specific needs.

What does it cost?

There is a $50 registration fee for the HOPE Summits, but everything else at the event is free, including the sessions, materials, and meals. A limited number of travel grants (generously subsidized by our sponsors) are available to help survivors cover their travel costs.

Why go to HOPE Summit?

  • Gain access to education and experts
  • Attend informative sessions that address unmet needs
  • Connect with others who have or have had lung cancer
  • Build a community of support and friendship

Each year at HOPE Summit we are reminded of the courage and quiet strength of those with lung cancer who are looking for ways to improve their lives while living with this disease.

Survivors and their families inspire us every day. At HOPE Summit we address the unmet needs of survivors and celebrate survivorship and we work hard to inspire you!

The Summits provide expert-led sessions to educate and inform about the latest in research and treatment options.  Researchers speak about the hope in research and exciting current research developments. Participating experts also volunteer for a Q & A session so that Summit participants can interact directly with the experts.

The Summit is a one-of-a-kind conference celebrating lung cancer survivorship.  It's a unique opportunity for people who have been impacted by a lung cancer diagnosis to meet and interact with each other. Participants who have been to a Summit report feeling a sense of community and have built lasting friendships.

Peer-to-peer sessions

The Summit also holds peer-to-peer sessions where attendees can hear directly from other lung cancer survivors who have walked the journey. They have a first-hand view of what it has been like to live, survive, and thrive after a lung cancer diagnosis.
