LUNGevity Foundation is pleased to announce the issuance of its Request for Applications (RFA) for 2014 Career Development Awards for translational research in lung cancer. RFAs for 2014 Early Detection and Targeted Therapeutics Awards will be issued shortly.
LUNGevity's Career Development Awards for Translational Research program was created to support future research leaders who will keep the field of lung cancer research vibrant with new ideas. The translational research projects that will be funded are expected to have a direct impact on the early detection of lung cancer or on the outcomes of lung cancer, or to provide a clear conceptual or experimental foundation for the future development of methods for early detection and/or individualized treatment, including through immuno-oncology. The award is open to junior faculty members who are within the first five years of their first faculty appointment. Successful applicants will receive up to $100,000 per year for a possible period of three years and will participate as ex officio members of LUNGevity's Scientific Advisory Board for the duration of the award. LUNGevity will grant only one Career Development Award per institution.
